This is our son who refused to let us buy anything Hawks for him as they won their way through the playoffs, for fear of jinxing them...ok - I'll buy that! So this is him with a shirt in a store window that expressed his feelings WAY back toward the beginning of the season./a
I am by no means a hockey fan but I've been on the bandwagon the last week and it's been a fun ride. DS has been really into hockey the past few years and we have literally had to drag him away from the TV a few times this year when the Hawks were playing. He said around Christmas time that this was going to be the year - and he was right! He is a HUGE Patrick Kane fan (you hear that, Mr. Kane...don't let your celebrity go to your head - there's lots of kids watching!). When Patrick Kane lifted the Cup last night, it reduced DS to tears of joy! He & DH were even lucky enough to have been invited to go to a game with an outing from my work and they had a GREAT time! The boys are headed to Chi-town tomorrow for the victory parade and rally.
I know!! I was so excited they won! I used to be a HUGE hockey fan but since hubs hates all sports it's kind of gone to the wayside. But anytime I can go to a college or pro game...I'm there. :)
