Movie:
The Invention of Lying (link to the trailer)

Now, I am in no way shape or form a Ricky Gervais fan but this movie was FUNNY!!!!! You really have to watch the movie because a lot of the humor is in the signs around town, the short lines spoken and what is going on behind the actual action in the scenes. Jennifer Garner is adorable and charming again.

Book:
Twilight by Stephenie Meyer
I am not at all a vampire fan and this was my 3rd attempt at reading this book. I finally got into and enjoyed it very much. Now, I am not going to pick my 'team' but I do know who I hope she ends up with and feel like I have to read the rest of them to know. Sigh...

Hard at work

So DS comes home with his physics assignment - make a car out of a mousetrap that is self propelled.
Ahhh....sure - right.
So, he and hubby have been kicking around ideas for the past 24 hours, most of which are WAY over my head! I'll be interested to see what they come up with. I think I'll just defer to being the photographer on this one...

Book review

In the Presiden't Secret Service
by Ronald Kessler
What do former Secret Service agents know about some of our former Presidents? How do they train for their jobs? What kind of stories do some of these agents have? Did JFK have an affair with Marilyn Monroe?
If you want to know the answers to these questions (and more), read this book! I LOVED it. It was VERY interesting! Perhaps I'm naive, but I had no idea some of the security that surrounded the president or what kind of training the agents have to go through. I am not usually a non-fiction reader without it taking me weeks on end but I couldn't put this one down. Mr. Kessler's writing is very engrossing.
I recommend this to anyone - it is fantastic!

DD cracks me up!

A couple of stories for you....

Last week, DH had to get something and took the kids with him. He got his change ($1.25) and he gave DD the quarter. She was quiet for a minute then said, "The dollar would fit perfectly into the zipper pocket of my purse." DH said that he was sure it would but that it was probably for change. She replied that she was pretty sure it was dollar money. Needless to say, she didn't get the dollar but zipped the quarter into her zipper purse pocket.

Last night, DD tells me that the little boy that she talks about ALL (literally ALL) the time has announced that when they are bigger, he is going to marry her and his mom said it was ok. She was beaming when she said this. So later I ask her if she told her dad was this boy said and she looks at me horrified and says "Don't tell him!" I already had and DH was cracking up!
**************
Now she is obessesed with having a loose tooth. She doesn't have any wigglers but is SO excited to have one. Ahhh - the stages of growing up.

Have a great Sunday!!!!
Thanks for stopping by. HUGS!

Dear local police,

If you want to hand out a plethora of tickets, go sit outside the Catholic church about 7:35. Those crazy ladies drive like bats out of (you know where!).

Hi there!

Just a quick catch up....I know, I've been a bad blogger!

DH's b-day was Tuesday. Nothing too exciting - cake and pizza.

DD cut a little chunk of her hair off at school last week. She actually cut just a little off the front and you can't tell - it just looks like angled bangs now. Maybe she has a future as a hairdresser.

DS has finals this week. He is 'proud' of his C on his essay he wrote. Rrriiiight.... Needless to say, I wasn't quite so 'proud'.

Work is work - drama, as usual but it's been busy so it's easy to forget that crap.

Looks like a little warmer weather is coming - YEA! I am SO ready for this snow to disappear!!!!

Hope you're all well! Thanks for stopping by.
HUGS!
