Salt to the Sea is such an amazing read. I even felt like I learned a lot while reading it. I'm glad you had the chance to read it this year.

I keep trying to figure out why that cover caught my eye so much compared to the way I usually tune out this genre and then I realized -- there's actually a woman in it! I did not realize how tired I am of alternately Generic Man In Uniform or Generic Man With Bare Muscled Chest covers until I saw a cover that actually sold romance to me. Love it, especially w / such a beautiful backdrop. Get on this level, romance publishers writ large!
