you're the windshield, somedays you're the bug!!!!!

We found out today that one of our DS's lost her father last week in an accident. WE have yet to tell him and I'm DREADING it!!!!!

My DH is the most wonderful man on the face of the earth! Yesterday, he offered to call his mom to come get DD so I could scrapbook all day. I told him no thanks and it was fine. I got lots done and she sat with me for a while! I got to see THE NOTEBOOK (FINALLY!) and I loved it! James Garner was amazing!

We attempted to paint the patches on the wall, but the BIG bucket of paint my DH got that is SUPPOSED to match our wall color - DOESN'T!!!!!!!!! So, now we dont know what to do - I'm afraid we'll end up painting the whole house - UGH!!!!!!!!!

Just some pictures

It's been pretty "quiet" around here the last few days, so I thought I'd just post a few pictures to intro the most important people in my life....

This is my "rock". I love him with all my heart! He's a FABULOUS husband and father! We've had some hard times but we've worked them out and been stronger because of them.


He'll be 13 in 5 weeks and he's NOT letting us forget! We are currently planning a party - ssshhhh - it's a surprise with his friends. We'll see if we can pull it off. He got his cast off on Friday so he's looking forward to going back to karate.



She's 2 going on 20. She loves animals, Disney Princesses and Wizard of Oz.

It's Wednesday - thank goodness!

Father's Day was very uneventful! I did burgers on the grill for dinner and we took a bike ride.

Work has been crazy busy our computer guy has been there this week so my list of "to do" has increased considerably!!!! Oh, well - at least I know I won't be bored.

I finished my class - woo hoo!!!!!!! I actually managed a B! I was THRILLED. I am so glad it's over though.

Today in the mail, we get a recall for our new van. Apparently the windshield wiper motor...so now I have to find time to take that to them.

A few busy days!

Thursday, I went shopping and had lunch with a couple of my cousins. We had a GREAT time! Sara was really good too. We have decided to make it a semi-annual event and hopefully we can do it when my sister and a couple more cousins can join us.

Friday, it was HOT!!!!!!!! 90s! We took Sara to the zoo....where else would we take her when it's hot???? ;) She had a great time and we got there early enough we had most of the zoo to ourselves. She was SO tired by the time we got home.... We made a quick stop at Home Depot - guess what I found there...paint chips in the shape of Mickey Mouse's head. You bet I was loading up my pockets with those!!!!

Saturday, I took the van to the car wash - it was MUCH needed!!!! Then off to the store for a few hours. Then we pretty much just sat around because it was so hot. Ryan got home about 12:30 this morning.

Captain's Log, Day....I don't know!

MAJOR breakthrough in the potty training!!!!!!! Those of you without children, this may be TMI!!!!!!!!!!!! (You've been warned!)

Sara finally told us BEFORE she went in her diaper, that she had to go and she did #2. WOO HOO!!!!!! So, of course, we made a HUGE deal of it - high fives, cheers, an extra cookie. I'm sure our neighbors thought we were crazy. I really, really hope this is the start of good things - I am so ready to be done with diapers!!!!

I caught DD in my flowers when I went to check on her this evening and couldn't resist this shot....

I am SLOWLY improving my photography skills. I have noticed I'm looking at things differently. So hopefully....

Whew....

We got an e-mail yesterday from DS. He said it was windy and rainy but it was ok because he has his cousins to play with. They are out of the main path of the storm.

Weekend update

Hey!
Ryan left for FL with my parents on Saturday. Now of course, they are sitting in the path of Hurricane Alberto. That will teach him to joke about that again!
We went to a baby shower for one of DH's best friends yesterday. It was ok. We got caught up with some friends but it was a long day.
Back to work today and DD started in the "preschool" room today.
