Day 7 - Gift Ideas
I will admit, I am a TERRIBLE gift giver. I am not creative in thinking of what to give. And honestly, I am usually under the gun trying to find something. It is probably my greatest stress of the holiday season.
How do you decide what to get people?
I'm the same way! I try to be creative but most of the time I fail miserably.
ReplyDeleteI try to find what makes them happy or what I think would make them happy. Sometimes I throw in something funny. For example, my oldest son adores the Cleveland Browns so I got him a Browns leather wallet and Browns argyle socks. My other son loves to grill, so I got him a set of grilling spices from Penzeys and also some cookware. My daughter and son in law are a house divided, her Ohio State, him Michigan and the house they just bought has an Ohio State weathervane so we bought her hubby a Michigan State one. On the funny side, I got everyone a bottle of poopouri. Daughter in law loves the beach, I got her a pillow with a mermaid tail and cute saying and some kitchen Christmas towels with a beach theme. Now if it’s a co-worker gift cards to Barnes and Noble are perfect. Just try to think what they like and if all else fails, I buy people things I like lol, not knitting needles though. I hope that helps a little.
