Thank you!

I am touched by the outpouring of support I have received from so many of my readers this week.  Things are going ok. I'm feeling ok, I survived my bloodwork.  Today I get my monitor to wear for 24 hours and we'll see what they find out from that.  I try to remind myself, that anything that may be wrong, is out of my hands at this point.

Thank you all so much for your support and love - it has meant a lot to me!

A small request

I probably won't blog much this week.  Busy, busy!

I would like to ask for your good thoughts/prayers/whatever you do this week.  I have a couple of tests scheduled that I am hoping will turn about to be nothing or something fixable.  Thank you in advance!

I'm so glad...

that 17 years ago today, I said "Yes!" to marrying my Valentine!

It's been a wild ride, but I wouldn't change it. I don't think we would be the couple we are today without the good AND the bad!

Friday Fun, Movie edition

In one month (March 8), Oz the Great and Powerful opens in theaters! I am pretty excited to see it.  I love The Wizard of Oz and enjoyed Wicked. I am interested to see the Wizard's story.  Anyone else looking forward to this?

We rented  Here Comes the Boom. Kevin James cracks me up and this was a fun movie to watch.  By the way, I would give this movie 3 1/2 stars (on my rating system).

Winters are fierce in Minnesota where he lives, so the owner of a construction project felt he was doing a good deed when he bought earmuffs for his foreman.
Noticing, however, that the foreman wasn't wearing the earmuffs even on the bitterest day, the project manager asked, "Didn't you like the muffs?"
The Foreman said, "They're a thing of beauty."
"Why don't you wear them?" The Project Manager said.

Tuesday....

It's been a good week, so far.  It's bitterly cold, but it's January in the midwest.  It was bound to get here....

I realized I hadn't picked my "one word" for the year yet and I have been trying to think of what to use.  Last year I picked a song (Live a Little by Kenny Chesney) but nothing has really spoke to me lately.  So, I am still trying to pick my word....

I hope your week was good last week and that your upcoming week will be good!

I am looking forward to leading a scrapbooking class at our local library this week.  I have to get my sample projects completed.  I am nervous but plan to have fun!  Then I hope to work toward my 2013 scrapbooking goals of completing 100 layouts this year.  (I have LOTS of photos to catch up on...)

It sounds like winter is moving back in this week.  It's been relatively mild this month so far, but the single digit temps and snow are to return...

I'm sorry I have neglected my blog this month, pinterest is to blame...kidding!  Although...  I plan to blog at least a couple times a week.  So please keep stopping back.

Until we meet again!

This week I lost a dear co-worker to a short battle with cancer.  Marge was my work grandma. She was kind and caring but brutally honest.  I have always said I want to be like Marge when I grow up.

Her funeral was yesterday. It was a lovely service with many stories shared by her family, co-workers and library patrons.

God bless you Marge! I know you're up there with a book and a glass of wine.  Cheers!
